Well today was the day and what a day. Neil came and spent 3 1/2 hours with me preparing the dishes and talking cooking.

The veloute for the fish stew and the salsa for the cod portugese. The completed cod portugese and fish stew on the table. There is also a picture of the puff pastry strawberry dessert.

Friends came over to help it up and it is just about all gone.

Thanks for the update and pics, miniman.
I'm glad you had a good time and memorable experience.
 
It was absolutely gorgeous - we had 9 to dinner and it virtually disappeared. Very smooth and creamy. My youngest was quiet excited as he helped make the pudding. A bit over eager with the puree, so wwe had add a little gelatine to the mousse to help it set.
