I never could figure out where pizza got such a bad reputation, anyway. While it may be high in calories, it can can also be very high in nutrition.

We all know that tomato sauce is good for us...cheese may be fattening, but it contains calcium...and most kids (and husbands) would never notice if you slipped a whole wheat crust on them, as long as you don't mention it. Any vegies you can sneak are an added bonus!

We get by with a little help from our friends

sure can be...whole wheat crust, cooked tomato sauce, lower fat cheeses, lots of great roasted veggies, light meats. One of my faves is calamata olives, prosciuto, and feta! light doses of the three, but the intense flavors carry well in a spicy tomato sauce!
