well, sush, anything *could* be true, but this is still quite unproven as of yet. no, the big pharmaceutical companies probably won't fund any research into this, since it's a common (read, non-unique, non-designed, therefore non-patentable) molecule. BUT the vast majority of science isn't funded by big pharma...it's paid for with your tax dollars. i can guarantee if someone busted out the end-all be-all magical cure for all forms of cancer, they'd be pulling in a nobel for that some day. with solid reliable preliminary data, it's the sort of line of inquiry that NIH would be funding.

plenty of things have proven to be spectacular right at first, but don't hold up in the long-term. while this does sound promising, it's not time to get giddy yet. there are NO results from clinical trials out on this stuff, much less extensive piles of confirmatory data. don't start tumping DCA into your household water just yet.
