Miss Mish...

"Earthquake" prepared is not a bad idea! In fact it's an Excellent idea!
I have always been prepared for cold weather outages as well as hot weather outages that are short in duration (24-48 hours) However 17 days with no power during Katrina was a challenge and that was with two generators.(I now have 3 big ones) I was able to keep two refrigerators and two freezers going with very minimal loss. My stove is gas as is my hot water heater. That was a blessing for cooking and hot water needs. Some of my "all electric" neighbors were not so lucky. So it would be wise for everyone to have an action plan. Put some thought into what your needs would be. Hey don't say it can't happen. Trust me. It can! Let this be a wake-up call to everyone.

Thanks Miss Mish for reminding all of us! Be prepared!

There is only one Quality worse than Hardness of Heart, and that is Softness of Head.
