I just got word that a childhood frind of mine died yesterday.
He was only 38. They're thinking it was an aneurysm (s/p ?).
Could you say a prayer for his parents, his sister and his kids please ?
Timmy may you forever be at peace now. :(

Middie,
prayers on the way for your friend and his family.

So sorry for the loss of your friend. I add my prayers to those of the others. May his family find peace and comfort in the midst of the storm.

Middie my grandfather died Friday also... maybe they'll find each other and
share a laugh or two.

Prayers will be sent.

That's how DH's mum died. There are blessings of there own with a quick and unexpected death, but its tough on friends and family. My prayers, of course.

Middie and pdswife, thoughts and prayers to both of you, your families and friends. As you say pdswife, they may be sharing a laugh but it's hard on the loved ones who have temporarily lost them.

“Pain”

The cry of man’s anguish went up to God,
Lord take away my pain.
The shadow that darkens the world Thou hast made;
The close coiling chain
That strangles the heart: the burden that weighs
On the wings that would soar-
Lord, take away pain from the world Thou hast made.

Then answered the Lord to the cry of the world,
So shall I take away pain,
And with it the power of the soul to endure,
Made strong by the strain?
Shall I take away pity that knits heart to heart,
And sacrifice high?
Will ye lose all your heroes that lift from the fire
White brows to the sky?
Shall I take away love that redeems with a price,
And smiles with its loss?
Can ye spare from your lives that would cling unto mine
The Christ on his cross?

Aw pds I'm so sorry. I'm thinking of you too.
Thank you so much everyone. Timmy was very
much like a cousin to me growing up. He will
be missed.

Thanks everyone.
I'm really looking at this as a good thing.
He was 87 years old and had been going down hill for a very long time.
Couldn't hear and could hardly see and hardly walk. He'd been drinking a lot which only made things worse. He was so depressed and sad. He'll be happier now.
