Question Question

I am on a very restricted diet and therefore every calorie counts so having discovered a really delicious cordial called Bottlegreen which has no additives I was totally delighted.. Unfortunately the details for nutritional recording says..(Quote) "100ml (1 part cordial to 10 parts water)" which is 29calories.
I used 35ml of cordial in my drink so what would the calorific value be?

Any ideas please?

From your link:

Nutritional per 100ml diluted 1:10 Energy (k joules) 124kj, Energy (k calories) 29kcal, Protein Nil, Total Carbohydrate 7.2g, Fat Nil, Sodium Trace.

So, if it's 100 ml, diluted 1:10, then it's 90 ml water (zero calories) and 10 ml cordial (29 calories).

If 10 ml cordial = 29 calories, then 35 ml = about 105 calories

Your cordial is mostly sugar, which isn't very good for a restricted calorie diet.

It's very easy to make lower calorie (or zero calorie) infused water yourself: https://www.google.com/search?source....0.1-qNO-3lQ4c
