Recipe ratings

i've found that when i look at recipe ratings on most sites the rating is based on changes made by the poster. not here, but on food network ect. whenever i make something based on a recipe i find or am given from a friend, out of respect i make it stictly as instructed. base an opinion and rate it as such. the next time i make it is when i have fun with it and change things to my taste. anyone on the same page?

I'm on the same page!! When a site has a recipe rating I go by ratings. I make according to the exact recipe. If I make it again I may change it a bit...but sometimes a recipe is a good thing to have because you want to make it the same each and every time!

Me too, sd. It's smart to go with the original, initally, but based on taste and ingredient availability, sometimes changes are called for.
