tonite i'm rather proud of my chix stock- tasted a few ago & was like, 'WOW! that's delicious!' then i was like, 'i should post a recipe.'
'cept i don't follow recipes, 'cept at school or if i'm working. & they often give you leeway to include or delete ingredients of your choosing.

I don't have specific recipes for a lot of the things that I cook either.

I am proud of my pork chops with balsamic vinegar and pears.
(Pork chops marinaded in balsamic, oil and with pears then fast fried.)
:)

Great thread; Glad I don't have to post the recipe here! I am getting ready to make my annual American's Best Presidential Cake! It is SPARE NO EXPENSE....the richest cake that I make!!! And I only make it in February!

I am going to the Abraham Lincoln Museum in Springfield, IL this month. President's Day is one of my absolutely favorite holidays.

Spare ribs adobo, still working on perfecting it but my dad used to make it and it was incredible. Here we go, tuesday's dinner I guess.:chef:

Kim's shepherds pie is on the top of my list, I Have shared it recently with a
bunch of folks who really were quite fond of it...

I like my Clam Chowder, Chicken Tortilla Soup, Roast Chicken/Turkey, and smoked Pork Butt. My other half, PeppA, is also extremely fond of those meals. Now, if only I could get the oldest boy interested.....

If Cris's kids were to be surveyed, the answers will be

Laslo - Toss up between Lasagne or risotto al radicchio
Lucilla - Tacos
Guido - Pancakes (just about the only thing I got him to like!)

Meanwhile I would sort of pat myself on the back for my ability and relatively high success rate with winging, inventing and experimenting on the fly.:)
