That sentence tells me that David set him up for the dinner flambe routine.

Pretty silly and maybe not such a good idea from a marketing standpoint. If it was a joke, there may be those who view it as a malfunction and not buy it. In that case, shame on David.

I didn't see the particular program, so have no way of knowing if it was revealed whether or not it was real or farce.

That was great watching Richard Simmons Exploding Steamer on Letterman.

When it happened that had to be so funny and if it was a joke staged by Letterman it was still funny. Now who wants to go out and buy one.

btw...has anyone ever used one of those plain ol' bamboo steamers he was talking about before?? they're cheap, but i'd have no idea what to do with one!
