A reporter's reporter has moved on to that great press conference in the beyond.

At age 92 (a few weeks shy of 93), bulldog reporter Helen Thomas has died. I found her reporting to be informative and entertaining and I think many a president would consider her the Weber grill of reporters. I can only imagine what some of our country's leaders must've thought when they saw her sitting in the front row at a press conference..."grill time."

I was curious to learn that she was born in the far eastern part of my state, which is also some of the most depressed part of our commonwealth. She certainly made a name for herself.

I have always admired Helen Thomas. She was a smart, persistent articulate reporter and a wonderful role model for many. I'm sorry to hear of her passing.

Ladies, the bulldog of the press corps died on July 20th 3 years ago, in 2013. I'm sure she's still giving "them" heck from her front row seat, though. She sure was a feisty one!
