This has to be regarded as an off topic. Rosie's is a new TV comedy in development. A bistro run by 2 women. The question is about food and hygiene safety.

I once heard that the food agency would colour food with a spray paint to prevent it getting into the food chain. Can someone help here.

This is for TV comedy only.

TIA

Desmond.

No. I heard that in the EU and UK food hygiene people will spray paint food that is not to enter the food chain. Food can be removed from the food chain if inspectors deem it not for consumption. To prevent it getting put back into the food chain it is dyed.

It is an idea I am playing with in the comedy. Dodgy food is bought in and they disguise it by making a Steak Diane or just cover it in pepper sauce to disguise it.

I just want to get my facts right before I proceed with this idea.
