MexicoKaren, that is the best idea. I will make that call myself.. I'd have not thought about that. Putting all these good heads together is giving me a lot of help.

Today, she called her dad to tell him the news about our car that we just 'sold' to her due to a very long story, none of it is good, so suffice it to say, she needed a car, we bought us both new ones and gave her a good deal on ours which was in mint condition. Been in the shop and a phone call made to her to let her know what's wrong with it's automatic shifting...........................she's told it'll be $3300 to redo the whole transmission system. Not $33 not $330 but three thousand three hundred dollars. She's had it one month and it was completely checked out before I drove it up there for her. She is in a tailspin. After finding this out, so are we.
Husband wants to know, will this ever end? She wants to know what to do without a car?
My thoughts are sell it cheap due to it having to get the trans fixed.
Part it out.
Advertise it as a quick sale, perfect condition cept needs transmission. > You fix it, you've got a perfect car.

Buyer beware, never ever whatever you do, do not buy a Dodge Durango no matter how pretty it is or how fast it goes.

LEFSElover - You have raised a daughter to be proud of. There are good feelings to be had by both of you. You for raising a good person. Her for the satisfaction of having "done it right".

While I agree with Bucky about calling 911, please check with your cellular carrier to make sure that your 911 service is correctly set up. It would be a good idea to put the local police on a speed dial. It may be faster.

She might want to think about pepper spray or the like. 911, even if all goes well, help is most likely 5 to 10 minutes away.

Just my two cents - AC

Yup! - The wife unit had a lot of trouble with her Durngo ad well.

LEFSElover - you are such a great mom and raised a great mom in your daughter too. This is the last thing that poor girl needs right now - it is wonderful she could come (call) you. What goes around comes around, the drunk will get hers.

Pepper Spray can be bad if the wind is blowing in the wrong direction. There was not much she could do with two little ones with her. Wish I could have been there and yes why no one called the police baffles me. The drunk woman would have been carted off to jail.

Yes, I think MM is right about that. That kind of behavior generally precipitates all kinds of instant karma.

Lefselover, the phone #, and store phone # is on your daughter's receipt, should either of you call.
If you get no satisfaction, you can call 1800-925-6278.
That's HQ cust. serv. But they will probably listen to your complaint, then tell you they will pass it on and someone will get back to you.

Speed dialing, great idea to connect [right now] to the police dept. 911 set up right and connected to the right department whatever, I'll check that too.
There is so much wind in Vegas that the pepper spray I know she'd probably not consider due to what was said. Gotta remember that she had both kids hands and the possible spray in their eyes, probably not.
I'll call Wal Mart in a hour or so when I've got my line of defense in place. If the manager of the store isn't in, I'll leave a message with my number. I think that he or she would like to know what the customer rights are while shopping at their facility. Also, gonna make a phone call to the local police dept. I'll tell what occurred and see what their advice on it is. Hope I get someone who has a few minutes to listen and then respond without being rushed.
Thanks to all here.
