Thanks taxlady. He will be missed desperately. The world is a much sadder place today.

Before the Alzheimer's became a burden, he was very open to e-mails from his fans. I had a running conversation with him while I was in college and while I was reading "Good Omens". He was quite friendly, helpful and encouraging to an aging college student. I might stop breaking into tears at some point today.

I had read about it, but then I found those last three tweets and started crying. I sure hope he got to meet Binky.

As I understand it, he had an unusual form of Alzheimer's that didn't affect his intellect, but he had a hard time reading and he couldn't type.

Of course he got to meet Binky, they are probably taking the long route to extend their time together. If anyone deserves it, it is he.

I have to go, not doing well with keeping a stiff upper lip. It's raining all over DiscWorld today.
