Snack Cake Packaging....

Where does one find out what kind of materials are used, graphics design, packaging for shelf life, machinery etc. for snack cakes like Little Debbie Swiss Roll or Hostess Cup Cake?

Doing a Google search is not really turning up anything too useful.

Thanks,
Joe C

For templates and card for making cake boxes try a craft shop specialising in card and paper crafts, on-line craft suppliers or try shopping channels which have specialist craft presentations.

There are various companies doing this sort of stuff such as Martha Stewart, Anna Griffin, Paper Wishes and many others also shopping channels such as HSN or QVC. Google "card crafting" and then search "cake box" on sites that come up.

Hope this helps

Food Processing
Most of the assembly line equipment for food production seems to come from China now. I know someone who has a soybean processing plant for making soy milk. Not sure where they get their containers, but know that the line equipment to put the soy milk in the cartons came from China. It was cheaper to hire someone to make modifications here than it was to buy it here with those modifications already made. Same for the "hopper" that "juices" the soybeans. Have you tried a cash and carry wholesaler for the food industry for the containers? Once you find out where they buy them, you might be able to contact the company for custom branded ones. A graphic artist/branding expert/logo design firm can help with the logo design.
