SOS my memory is shut

There was this chef on Food Network. He was/is black, but his features are European. Young, good looking guy. Cooked a lot of asian foods. Please help me out with his name.

I'm not so sure of Asian, but he has cooked a lot of Nordic type foods, i.e.Aquavit, and soul food in Red Rooster.

He has an interesting background. Born in Ethopia, he and his sister were taken in by a Swedish family after their mother died. Now he makes his home in the US. He's married to a very stunning woman - a fashion model, I believe.

Roger Mooking is a favorite of mine, but doesn't fit the description.
