Spin on $40 a Day Meals

I'll order of the dollar menu and still have $2.oo left at the end of the day.
 
Breakfast:
Fresh Fruit
Oatmeal (the real stuff, not the kind in packets)
Coffee with a splash of milk


Lunch Sandwich:
Tortilla
Fried egg
lettuce
1/2 sliced tomato
hot sauce
1/4 c. shredded jack cheese
Water to drink

Dinner:Italian
1/4 lb pasta, cooked
1/4 lb. ground beef, cooked & seasoned
sauce made from: 1 small can tomato paste, 2 roma tomatoes, 1 garlic clove, roasted & 2 basil leaves, minced
1/3 head of lettuce for salad with 1/3 cuke, sliced & 1 roma sliced. Dressing is 1 Tbsp. balsamic & 1 Tbsp. olive oil.
Water to drink

That lettuce part is the only issue I have with that post!

Sorry, just one of those food hangup things! Everything else sounded great!

Ahhh the college years. I remember them...I'd say well, but the food was anything but.

$5 a day? Hah! Amateurs! :ROFLMAO: I can live off 20 cents a day!

Breakfast: Breakfast pastry and coffee from the waiting area of the car dealership down the street, set out for people waiting on auto repairs. Cost: Nothing

Lunch: Chile beef ramen and a glass of water. Cost: 10 cents

Mid afternoon snack: Take the Marlboro plant tour. Obtain a free carton of cigarettes at the end of the tour. Sell to some smoker right outside the plant for 15 bucks. Spend $5 on a value meal from McDonald's. Net gain: $10.

Dinner: Creamy chicken ramen washed down with $10 worth of beer. Cost: $10.10

Total cost at end of day: 20 cents.

lentil soup, split pea soup, bean soup, potato soup, veggie-beef soup.....

stir-fry
minute steaks, potato or rice, veggie, fruit

Get 2 SPICY Chicken Burritos
Eat ONE of the burritos for lunch with a blob of homemade salsa and a cup of coffee
Dinner.... the other burrito. With 1/4 bag of mixed (chinese) vegi's. 2 shots of watermelon vodka with cubes and water.

Approx Cost PER SERVING: $4.00

I like this plan!!! :ROFLMAO: Although, I'm not much of a beer drinker so I'd make a profit and get fed for the day. Ha!

lunch : bowl brown rice, order sauteed bok choi, sauces (comp), tea (comp) fortune cookie (comp) $2

Wow! You're good! And that's alot of food in one day!
 
Heh, what can I say. When your base tuition is over 37 thousand dollars a year and you live in an expensive city, you learn a couple of tricks along the way :P
