As a rule, I don't like Stand-Up comedians (too much shouting and not much funny for me) but an English comedienne called Sarah Millican is very good (although she may not appeal to some men!) was on the radio last night. Her parting shot really appealed to me -

"Don't look for the light at the end of the tunnel - stomp off and switch the bl**dy thing on yourself"

I thought it very wise advice and have written it up on my kitchen notice board.

EDIT: Sarah Millican performing at the Royal Variety Performance. She has a very strong Newcastle Upon Tyne (NE England) accent so you might need to listen carefully.

Lovely shot of Prince Charles throwing his head back and guffawing. Nice to see the poor thing enjoying himself given all the stick he gets in the press.
