State treasure hunt

Just thought I would advice everyone to ckeck out their State Treasure Hunt. I finally check ours and found out my late father-in-law had some money from an old insurance policy there.I had contacted that company when he died and they said there was no money there. (Wrong) It took a little while to get all of the paper work done but we did finally get the money.
It pays to look into it.

I was looking on the Conn state site and found what appears to be an entry for my co-workers daughter. I will update when I find out!

It could be in your name or a deceased relative, where you can make a claim. If you are an heir.

I am not sure of all the states. This one is through the State Treasurer office.
For Iowa it's:

www.greatiowatreasurehunt.com

Maybe someone will know where to find all of the states websites.

I found some of my money on www.missingmoney.com

It wasn't a bunch but it was fun and unexpected money to run wild with.
