this one was fun. I'm widely traveled in the U.S., and only missed 3 (I came close in rainfall, though!).
I was surprised that Minnesota runs further north than Maine. Just goes to show that you don't know what you don't know!

For some reason, when I saw the title, I thought this thread was going to be about football.

Answer me a q;
is there any "countryside" between the twin cities ?

Or are they sorta "across the Street" from one another ?

That little "bump" is the NW Angle. We fish kinda in that area when we go to LOW. You have to careful not to cross the boundary b/tween CDA and MN when there. My cousin did that once--the bow of his boat was over the line...but he was downrigging out the back so they let him off with a warning.

Not Steve,

The Mississippi River separates a good portion between St Paul and Mpls, with bridges connecting the Cities and the riverbanks are heavily wooded and beautiful and varied in all seasons. The river veers off course in some areas, so it's not a strict boundary. Interestingly, the conglomerate that is the Mall of America, a mega shopping tourist draw, has a dairy farm with cows in a fenced pasture across the road on it's SE side. I wish more people would find ways other than shopping extravaganzas and explore the Twin Cities with its 100's of miles of parks and trails and cultural and historical attractions.
