I LOVE the cosmos. I always feel so small whenever I bust out the telescope. Hard to believe we are all existing on a grain of sand.

i have an 8" dobsonian, but it's rendered practically useless by the philly lights.

I missed #3, and got the Mercury and Gemini projects mixed up.

However, I disagree about the Andromeda galaxy. I think it's either the Larger or Lesser Magellanic Clouds, which are satellite galaxies of the Milky Way.

Your Sunday Special - Astronomy and Space is very interesting. I tried to read it and figure which went with which but my eyes are hurting me and tearing very badly. I have medication for that and I will put some on my eyes at once.

It is an interesting idea.

these are dwarf galaxies;
question was ; "what is the closest major galaxy........."
