Sure don't seem like it's been that long

35 years since Elvis ate his last peanut butter, banana, and bacon sandwich. I suddenly feel very old.

Hard to believe he'd be close to 80 if he were still alive.

Hindsight is 20-20, but he probably shouldn't have had those 'ludes with his sammich.

My remembering that is a clear sign I'm getting old.

I quit smoking that year.

Wow, that is a long time ago now...I remember that when he died I was 8 years old...as my grandpa died when I was 8 too

My dad passed away 12 years ago at the age of 58, I was 30 years old and gave up smoking on that day!

It certainly does give you a reality check

I heard the news about the King on the car radio as I was driving home from college. I couldn't believe it.

I was having coffee with a friend. We heard it on the radio in the restaurant. I won't say what I did earlier that day because this isn't a closed forum, but it does make it easy to remember the date.
