I'm putting this in off-topic chat because I don't know where else to put it. Hubby and I went to a new Japanese restaurant in Dubuque today that features a sushi bar. We were so thrilled with the results! This is something totally new to the area (not to us, we love sushi and sashimi and became very spoiled by it in our years in Hawaii). I couldn't in a million years get fish that tasted like this in any store within 3 hours drive. I'm excited that someone in this area got adventurous. I hope it succeeds, but .... I'm not sure they can get the local palate going.
I never thought I'd eat raw fish in the midwest, but it was great and I feel fine now, 4 hours later. Only the pleasant glow of a great meal remains.
