Yesterday, (Earth Day) Christopher Swain of Marblehead, MA started a 1,000 (yes, ONE THOUSAND) mile swim down the Atlantic coast from Marblehead to Washington, D.C. He is swimming for a cleaner ocean, and environment, in general. His name is linked to an article published yesterday inthe Salem, MA newspaper.
I wanted to call your attention to this because it is an extraordinary undertaking, and because I love Chris. I have known him since he was 8, and his Mom is one of my closest friends.
Perhaps some of you might like to take on his cause, but in any case, I knew you would want to cheer him on.
