Teflon Likely a Carcinogen, EPA advisors find

Keep in mind that the PFOA mentioned in the article as a 'likely carcinogen" is used in the manufacturing process. It is not a component of the finished product beyond trace amounts.

The real danger is to the factory workers where they make the PFOA and the Teflon products.

There have been earlier lawsuits initiated by factory workers (some of whom were pregnant) about PFOA.
 
Didn't read it, but do you remember the thread that let us know that when you heat a teflon pan without anything in it, that it is deadly to birds in the house? Quite true, sadly.

Uh-oh. Did it by chance mention any effect on bird-BRAINS? I'd hate to accidentally "whack" myself while making dinner... :wacko:
