Totally agree with you, Middie. This reminds me of the TLC show called "Honey, we're killing the kids". The show has a doctor, who, in a 3-week period gets one family at a time to start cooking/eating healthy, along with personalizing their family exercise program. Worth watching, especially when you see a child such as this.
