The Food Lover's Companion

Anybody own a copy of this book? I want to buy it, but just wanted to make sure it's a good pick for a "food dictionary".

I got it as a gift from someone who told me she couldn't live without it. But she doesn't own a computer.

I've barely glanced at it.

The Food Lover's Comapnion can be seen on Epicurious.com. It's their food dictionary.

I love it. Mine is falling apart.

There's lots of information on the internet, and some of it is incorrect. I know The Food Lover's Companion is accurate. I knew the author, and she was a stickler for accuracy. I don't know who is keeping it updated now, but I'll still go with it as the final word.
Wine is the food that completes the meal.
