I say why don't you make it from scratch? Also I actually would like to buy some just for a heck of it. I never buy any mixses, I make my pancakes always from scratc. But for "american" pancakes I might just try this. I bet my wife will like the taste. She is used to everythng from the box.

Oh, yeah and do remember air line food being, well, at least it was good and plentyful(sp?)

Patty, I've had good luck with these mixes if you can find them near you.

My wife told me that at one of the hotels we stayed at, for the continental breakfast, they had one of these canned waffle batters next to the waffle making machine. If it was great I would have remembered it and if it was horrible, I would have remembered it. Since I have no recollection of ever seeing or trying it, I guess it wasnt too bad.

i had this canned pancake stuff at the state fair last summer. it actually was pretty good! i mean, we're only talking pancakes, but they weren't odd tasting, or overly dense like concrete. they were average pancakes, but from a can like whipped cream.

i've looked for it but haven't seen it in stores. supposedly costco carries them.

i guess i've been looking in the wrong aisles. where do they keep the viagra?

Well, I bake from scratch. I priced buckwheat flour the other day. 6 buck for 12 oz.

Well, I bake from scratch. I priced buckwheat flour the other day. 6 buck for 12 oz.

Try a bulk food store...I got a 25 lb bag of buckwheat flour for $24.00, they also had 50# for $45. I split the 25 lbs with my Dad and store the extra in 2 lb bags in the freezer.

I saw the ad but didn't think much about it. Seems to me that they tried spray caned batter back in the 90's and it didn't fly then. Seems kinda dumb to me, by the time your griddle is hot, you can whip up a batch of batter, where is the time savings? Besides home made taste so much better.
