Such an incredible mind. I was on a trip with my uncle once, who is an actual rocket scientist 😁 I brought a copy of Hawking's book "A Brief History of Time." My uncle read it overnight and loved it. I tried to read it and couldn't get past the first chapter. I could follow the reasoning for a while and then suddenly I was lost. I tried again to understand it. And again. Nope. My uncle suggested that I just keep reading and power through it but I just couldn't get it.

Considering the severity of his disease, the world was fortunate to have him with us for so long. RIP.

To be able to even comment about general things on top of his math skills, wow. He said Einstein was wrong when he said "God doesn't play dice." Hawking said "he throws them in places unknown yet to be discovered" or something to that effect.

I'd describe the social speak about someone being "quantum" as pertaining to this guy.

I wonder if he's now pleasantly surprised after his passing...
