This Really BLOWS!

Today at work I was blocked when I tried to access the DC site. We have new internet filtering software at work and it recognizes DC as "talk or chat" so its blocked. I am not happy, I cant read the threads or see what everyone is having for dinner!

I guess my employer wants me to get some work done or something.

You mean they don't understand how this stretches the mind and makes you a better employee? It should at least be tax deductable!

Try accessing DC from a place like RainbowSurf

Thanks for the link Zereh, I tried rainbowsurf at work today and I was blocked there too - it recognized it as a "proxy avoidance" site.
LOL - I guess I'll just have to read and post after work and in the early a.m.

Oh boy, I know our computer guy in our stores have done this - seems too bad on many levels. They can't even share pictures anymore.

How rude of your employer - I am sure you will find another way to access Discuss Cooking.

We have a filter program at work that prevents us from seeing all sorts of websites, DC included.

Most of the time it is no problem, am too busy to even think about the web.

But once in a while get a break for an hour or two when absolutely nothing is happening. During those respites would like to be able to get on DC, but sadly no go.

But those hiatuses are rare and then the poop hits the rotating thingy and it is back to the rat race.
