The original song is fine with me. Simple, unassuming. The modern day vocal inflections of singers overdo it just a little. Trying to put too much emotion into it with their vocal inflections. That's to be expected.

Perhaps "better voices" than Lulu but..


With Lulu singing that in, what we thought was a wonderful movie, no "better voice" gives us the feelings she did..


Perhaps because I'm a nostalgic old man... :)

When you put it that way, I agree (and I am an old lady as well!!). When I hear Lulu's version I am instantly transported to the movie, which was a wonderful story.
