The Colonel’s real name was Andreas Cornelis van Kuijik, who sneaked into America from the Netherlands when he was twenty by jumping ship from his employer's vessel . After a short time here, he lied about his name and managed to join the U.S. Army as “Tom Parker”, from the officer who interviewed him.
 
I did not do well at all this time. I got #s 2, 5, and 7. "Thing" was the first thing to pop into my head for #8, but I didn't think that was really it. :LOL:
