TRUTH !
Roger Moore (born 1927) will always be remembered as the guy who replaced Sean Connery in the James Bond series, but he was also our favorite Ivanhoe, Saint and Persuader on TV.
Roger also starred in the later seasons of the American TV series Maverick (1957 - 1962). This Western series with comedic overtones was created by Roy Huggins and ran on ABC. Roger Moore played Beauregard, the English cousin of Brett and Bart Maverick (James Garner and Jack Kelly). The Mavericks are well dressed gamblers who travel across the West trying to stay out of trouble and make a lot of money with card games. The show would occasionally feature both or all three Mavericks, but usually would rotate the central character from week to week.
