CRAP !!
The cauliflower fungus exists, but isn't deadly and doesn't grow next to it's namesake.
It got it's name for it's resemblance, not proximity to, the cauliflower.
The fungus is mostly found at the roots of pine trees but also grows at the roots of oaks. It
is edible, and has a sweet smell.
