TRUTH !!
Tea was first brewed in China around 2700 BC, when the Emperor Shen Nung, a scientist and medical chemist, ordered all drinking water boiled for hygienic purposes. When some dried leaves used in medical herb blends accidentally fell into his boiling water, the curious emperor drank the infusion as an experiment and found it refreshing.
Europeans were not introduced to tea until the early 1600's- around Rembrandt's time.
