Coke was introduced in 1886 in the form of a syrup that was mixed with soda water at Drug Store Soda Fountains.
It was first sold in bottle form in 1894; the price was the same as it was in Soda Fountain form – a nickel.......
The price of a bottle of coke remained a nickel until 1960, when the price increased by a penny.
