in 1928, "steamboat willie" made history when it became the first sound
cartoon ever made. it was the third movie to star the beloved cartoon
rodent mickey mouse.
before the digital age, animated films were drawn and colored entirely by
hand. the last animated feature to be painted by hand was disney's " the
little mermaid".
