Einstein left Germany in 1933, when Hitler was just coming to power. He and his wife Elsa settled in Princeton, New Jersey, and Einstein was sworn in as a U.S. citizen on October 1, 1940. He was already world famous by the time he emigrated, having published his most famous works and won a Nobel Prize.

well, I knew who Dwayne Hickman was. How many of you know that Bob Denver of Gilligan's Island played the beatnik whatzhizname on that show?
 
Maynard G. Krebbs was one of my earliest favorite "Philosophers".............:LOL:
FYI- when Denver landed that role, his first, he was working as a mailman and high school teacher. He got the chance at the part because he was a friend of hickman's at Loyola college.:smartass:
