He recorded the classic "respect" 2 years before Aretha Franklin-it climbed to #5 on the Billboard Rythm and Blues Chart.....
"I've Been loving You a Little too Long (To Stop Now)" and my Favorite, "Try a Little Tenderness" were top ten hits........ "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" was his only #1 though...............
