Built in 1918, the 2.7 million-square-foot building came down in a matter of seconds in1994. It took 2,000 workers to build it, and 12,000 pounds of strategically placed explosives to bring it down.
Hudson's Department Store does hold the record for tallest building to be explosively demolished.
