In 1890, construction began on New York City's Carnegie Hall, funded by Andrew Carnegie. After a little more than a year, the Hall opened with a 5-day festival in May, 1891, in which Pyotr Llich Tchaikovsky conducted. The composer also performed for audiences in Philadelphia and Baltimore before returning to Russia.

I only got four right today.

1. Dr. François Duvalier--Got it
2. squirrel--Had no clue
3. AXIS--Forgot it
4. CORN (acceptable; maize)--Got it
5. 1980--Didn't get this (knew it was either 1980 or 1984 and went for the wrong one)
6. SALMON--Didn't get this (knew it was a fish, but couldn't remember which one)
7. THEY DIED IN THE SAME PLANE CRASH ("the day the music died")--Got it
8. MONGOLIA & CHINA--Got it
TRUTH !!--Guessed wrong on this one.
