happy v-day, charlie.
my dad was one of the americans who met up with your grandparents' comrades in germany. i was raised on stories of his time in england training and waiting for d-day, then on through normandy, belguim, the ardennes, across the rhine, and the race to berlin.
i respectfully pass on those stories to my son so they will not be forgotten. we watched "patton" last week together. i had to explain a lot, but it was fun.
The way that you wander is the way that you choose. The day that you tarry is the day that you lose.
Sunshine or thunder, a man will always wonder where the fair wind blows.
