My friend Lucy (aged 40) has had a bouncing baby boy with all the right numbers of fingers, toes and other bits after two very traumatic goes at IVF.

That was the good news. The not so good news (you are permitted to laugh!). He is to be called Dax Myron!!!! Whatever happened to James and William and Thomas? And I hate to think what his future school mates will make of Myron! Lucy is an environmentalist with a particular thing for Badgers (as you probably know "Dachs" is German for "badger". It's a good job she isn't choose the Welsh name for "badger". It translates as "Ground Pig")

Oh well, mother and baby are doing well and I wish them all the best for now and the future.

Congratulations to everyone! I love being an Auntie and soon will be a "grand-aunt" for the second time!

As for the name, it could be worse. A young Mom we adore named her son "Zane" and yes, he does get called Zaney...by his parents no less!
