That is a mind-numbing concept. If you can grasp the magnitude of what's out there, you have to believe there is a lot more intelligent life than what's here.

Just imagine, the images of those sea of galaxies you see today took billions of years to reach us.
When you look at our Sun you're seeing what the Sun looked like 8 minutes ago. So if the Sun suddenly died this instant you wouldn't find out about until 8 minutes later...

I love this stuff...
