Make it more "an invitation to have people join you in your kitchen" as you embark on your journey to experiment with foods from other countries, not a pedantic type of blog. Share your "mistakes" along the way (oops, I put 1/2 c salt in when the recipe called for sugar--didn't work--note to self, taste to make sure it is sugar since salt and sugar are in identical containers). Maybe make your blog English/Chinese and see if you get a different reception from others?
My current tone is like, lets learn how to make this and that... lets summarize what we learned last time... very much like a school teacher, even though I intended to be more like a cooking show.
