Who was that chef from louisiana, had a pbs show years ago...

I remember a good 20 years ago, there was this cooking show on PBS. The guy was older, i think he had glasses , moustache heavy southern accent. Always cooked fish, burned it then said " its ok, i like it that way ...."and also made sound effects like " hoooweee " as he was cooking. He also kinda mumbled so hard to understand %100 what he was saying.

I was just curious,

larry

I think I'm thinking of the same guy. He was hilarious, saying, "I gar-un-tee"........ But I can't remember his name either.

I was too young to even cook at the time, I just got a kick out of watching him. And I was sitting around thinking about it , and figured someone around here would help me.

Thanks again

Thanks for the reminder. Lots of passion.I don't think he thought of himself as a chef. Just good regional eats!

Yeah, he was great. Justin Wilson, the cajun cook.
Used to call cayenne pepper K-9 pepper.
