Wine Bottle Screw is stuck...

How in the world do I get this thing out? The handle came right off trying to pull the sucker out!!! :( I want someeeee!

I have tried picking at it with a knife but only succeeded in bending the tip of a good knife :(

Push it down into the bottle. Use the tip of a screwdriver or something similar. Do this in the sink. When the cork goes, it will hit with some force and there will be some wine squirting out.

I guess you'll just have to drink it all to erase the bad experience, take the bottle back and tell them of your nightmare, and hope they give you a freebie. (Yes, I'm sober - dang it)

Seriously, glad the pliers worked for you.
