Many congratulations to the Boston Red Sox. After the terror of the Boston Marathon, perhaps Neil Diamond of singing "Sweet Caroline" of the game of that day helped the team win of this.

There's a story behind Johnny Gomes' helmet. Seems he had met a soldier at some event and gave him a bunch of stuff like autographs, batting gloves etc. The soldier came to Fenway Park later and gave him the helmet.
I have no idea why Ortiz wore that silly helmet. It was the first time I'd seen it. Looked like he should be on a scooter.
