A giant aldabra tortoise thought to be around 250 years old has died in the Kolkata zoo of liver failure, Indian authorities said on Thursday.

It IS sad.

Cheer up ladies, he is in a better place now. (And please no jokes about soup here) You have to think that at 250 he had outlived most of his buddies. At least now, he is with his friends.

i heard that he was sick for a long time, and was just a shell of a turtle by the end.
