xbox 360

I just bought an xbox 360 bundle. I have a lot ( over 20 ) old xbox games, but I can't seem to play them on my xbox 360. How do I get my old xbox games to play on the new 360? Secondly, does the xbox 360 play high definition dvds ( hd-dvds )?

I do not know the answer to your first questions, but I do not think the Xbox 360 can play HD-dvd's. I might be wrong about that as I do not own one, but I am pretty that only the Playstation can do that.

Hobbit, only certain xbox games can be played on the 360. If you go to the Microsoft Xbox 360 web page, they have a list of all the regular xbox games that can be played on the 360. Also, you can play hd-dvds on the 360, but only if you buy the optional hd-dvd player. I think it's about $100, but I could be wrong about the price. HTH

Thanks GB and Fisher's Mom.

I figured out my problem. I had to download and burn an xbox patch then stick the burned cdrom into my 360 and now it can play most old games. I think that I can play about 2/3 old games.

And you're right about the attachment unit, Fisher's Mom. I don't know how much it costs but I learned that there's some attachment optical drive to buy to play hd-dvd. I think Sony's PS3 comes built-in with the capability of playing Blu Ray.
