lemon
vanilla
fresh cut grass
leather
outside after a rain
leaves in the fall
campfires
gasoline and oil (i'm a mechanic's daughter after all lol)
thanksgiving dinners

For kitchen aromas;
a roast cooking
steak and onions on the bbq
my Mum's pea and ham soup (simmering on an old-fashioned wood stove) - memories of childhood winters in front of a blazing fire
frying eggs and bacon

Non kitchen aromas;
freshly cut grass
the fragrant air on a summer's morning at dawn
summer rain

Great thread, but oh how to pick just a few?

In the kitchen:

-Cinnamon buns

-Doughnuts (I am Canadian after all)

-Chocolate chip cookies

-Virtually any pie

-Marshmallows roasted over a campfire

-The first whiff of a freshly baked potato

-Lasagne

-Broccoli soup (no, seriously :-p)

-Amaretto

-Jasmine tea

Beyond the kitchen:

-Chimney smoke

-Hawaiian Tropic suntan lotion

-Really good quality cigar or tobacco pipe smoke, though the cheap vanilla scented tobacco will always lovingly remind me of childhood

-Laundry hung out to dry on a clothesline

-The smell of a new air mattress (yes, that overpoweringly rubber one, mmmmmm)

-A crisp autumn night

Anything sweet that's fresh baked & while it's baking
coffee brewing in the early morning
sheets & towels dried outside
my moms roast
any citrius juice
my grandma's biscuits & cornbread, unfortunatly she's no longer able to make them:(
mac & cheese
that clean smell after you've spent hours scrubbing the kitchen
peanut butter
bacon
breakfast cooking
my kids after they've eaten something with maple syrup

I know there's a lot more, I just can't think of them right now.
